Podcast: Kristen Barnett on Creating a Ghost Kitchen and Avoiding Traditional Virtual Kitchen Pitfalls

Have you caught our latest So You Want to Run a Restaurant podcast? We just dropped episode 2 of season 2, and this week we’re talking ghost kitchens with Kristen Barnett, founder and CEO of Brooklyn-based Hungry House. Barnett launched Hungry House late last year, a concept she describes as an “anti-ghost kitchen”. The idea is to essentially help chefs create virtual kitchens, but in a way that addresses what Barnett sees as ghost kitchens’ common pitfalls.

We sat down to chat with Barnett to learn how she got involved in the virtual restaurant world and how she’s creating a different kind of ghost kitchen. Plus, she shares what she envisions next for the virtual restaurant space.
